Nether Wasdale has a hotel, a couple of pubs and a campsite. It’s also just up the valley from Wast Water in the Lake District which is where you’ll find Scarfell Pike.
High (pun intended) on the achievement of conquering both fears and Mt Snowdon, Wales’ loftiest point, we head to the Peak District in search of more intrepid adventures.
I’m informed that the best place to see stars in Britain is the Brecon Beacons because of the low levels of light pollution – shame it’s cloudy!
